Guest Ratings & Reviews
My stay at the hotel was truly fantastic. The rooms were stunning and provided a fantastic experience. However, our room was very cold even with the heating turned up to the maximum, while another room was uncomfortably overheated. The service was exceptional, especially accommodating with storing bikes overnight in the room. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old city with easy access to everything. The dining experience was a bit lacking as the breakfast was minimal, not reflecting the price paid during the Christmas market period.
The hotel is ideally located for exploring the historical parts of the city, with excellent service and charming rooms featuring original beams and unique skylight cranks. However, the dining experience could be improved, and a screen in one room obstructs the view.
The hotel was charming with a few quirks. Despite some issues like a warm room and noise near the main door, the location was outstanding in Old Town, with easy access to the Cathedral & Castle. Dining in the church room was lovely, though service could have been more attentive. The staff were welcoming and helpful overall.
I was thrilled with this hotel's location within the grounds of the cathedral, just a short walk from the Cathedral, Steep Street, and the Castle. The decor for Christmas added a special touch. Although the mechanism in the room was a bit temperamental and controlling the bathroom temperature was a challenge, the service was top-notch, providing a last-minute bed and accommodating my late check-in. The dining experience offered decent meals but could have been a bit more varied. Overall, a great choice for exploring the cathedral area and surroundings.
I had an amazing stay at the hotel, can't wait to go back. The rooms were excellent, very unique, and quite expensive. The large rooms were pleasantly decorated, although the toilet was a bit oddly placed in a corner under a sloping roof.
The hotel offers clean and basic rooms, well laid out and tidy. The staff were professional and helpful, though could improve on menu knowledge. The location is superb, close to Lincoln Cathedral with excellent views. The dining experience had limited options but was conveniently located near recommended cafes. The facilities are decent overall.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were extremely comfortable and spacious, although a bit small, but very clean. The location, halfway up a steep hill, offered compassion for the beautiful church view. The service was friendly but took a long time for orders to arrive. The location was excellent, perfect for exploring Lincoln's historic sites. The dining left much to be desired but was adequate. Overall, a good stay with some room for improvement.
I stayed at this hotel, and overall, my experience was fantastic. The suite was amazing - so spacious, with a big comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. The stained glass windows added a special touch, and the freshly cooked breakfast was incredible. The room even had rose petals, love heart towels on the bed, a card, and chocolates. However, the service was a bit of a mix. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the incident with the cleaner from another room was unprofessional and awkward. However, they did come to replenish tea and coffee, although they missed checking the bathroom. The location was perfect for exploring both the historic and modern parts of Lincoln, being close to the cathedral and castle. The dining experience was top-notch, with a variety of tasty dishes, although there were some minor issues with the sausage and black pudding. Overall, my stay was memorable and pampering.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfy and clean; I especially enjoyed the added bonus of having tea and coffee facilities with lovely biscuits. The luxury bed was amazing, but unfortunately, trying to book for next year's Christmas Market weekend was a challenge. The dining area felt a bit strange and reminded me of a school dining hall rather than a hotel, but the very friendly staff and great location made up for it.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The location is perfect for exploring the castle and cathedral area, just a stone's throw away from the main attractions. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and kept very clean. The service was exceptional and really stood out, especially when I needed a break after a tough incident. The dining experience was nice, with warm croissants delivered to the room each morning. The facilities were great, offering everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
